Pana Community Hospital CEO, Roland Carlson, agreed to give up part of his day to go to Pana High School to talk to the students about the healthcare field and his personal story of success. He shared stories about how he taught his children lessons growing up and also how he did not know what he wanted to do until his senior year of college.
Roland talked about some of the jobs he held as he was growing up and how he held a job throughout his college career as well. He said that holding a job not only gave him the income he liked to have so he could do some of the fun things he liked to do, but it also gave him structure in his life and helped him stay organized.
For those interested in the healthcare field, Roland talked about the many different opportunities in the field. He explained how it is not just limited to Doctors, Nurses, Practitioners, etc. He let the students know that there are jobs in the healthcare field in technology, business, marketing, and more.
Club Opportunity thanks Roland for coming in and sharing his story with the students.
